Description: SCP-3684 is a cognitohazardous, aquatic animal of unknown species.

Subjects who view or perceive SCP-3684's presence through other senses become convinced that SCP-3684 is in fact a large walrus. Details of SCP-3684's supposed appearance are constant across affected subjects.

Affected subjects begin to perceive other people, and ultimately animals and inanimate objects, as walruses. No pattern or correlation has been found in the people that subjects do perceive as walruses; additionally, two affected subjects' delusions do not necessarily overlap.

Occasionally, affected subjects begin to imagine a far-reaching conspiracy, usually involving said walruses infiltrating their workplace or home life. Whether this paranoia is a natural outcome or a secondary anomalous effect of SCP-3684 is difficult to determine. Investigations by unaffected personnel consistently fail to uncover any evidence of walrus-related activity.

Attempts to view SCP-3684 using experimental cognitohazard-filtering gear such as SCRAMBLE goggles results in SCP-3684 resembling an indistinct, amorphous mass composed of straw, mud, fat, and walrus tusks.

Notably, affected subjects become completely unable to perceive ordinary, nonanomalous walruses.
