Item #: SCP-4759

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4759 is contained within a 150 m deep dirt pit, with a large tank of Polymer Gel #MCN120 suspended directly above it. Once every two days, 20 lbs of precision-cut wooden planks are to be lowered into the pit.

Description: SCP-4759 is an incorporeal hexapedal entity that feeds on the structural integrity of solid objects.

SCP-4759 visually appears as an indistinct distortion in the surrounding air, with an average refractive index of about 1.19. Objects and limbs can be inserted into the space SCP-4759 occupies with some resistance, although this will cause apparent discomfort to it. SCP-4759's visibility is directly proportional to its hunger; when full (assumed due to its refusal to feed further), SCP-4759 is nearly invisible.

Any object bitten by SCP-4759's beak undergoes catastrophic structural failure and collapses. Despite this, other solid objects that were previously supported by the collapsed object will remain in place, unless subsequently fed on by SCP-4759. After "feeding" on a given object, SCP-4759 can phase through the broken remains with no resistance.

SCP-4759 is unable to fully consume living animals and humans
