Special Containment Procedures: Foundation weather satellites are to monitor for meteor clusters in the mesosphere and forward their projected impact point to local agents in the nearest city for retrieval and, if necessary, amnesticization of targets.
SCP-4189 instances are stored in an ordinary Safe-class vault after retrieval.
Description: SCP-4189 are meteorites that spontaneously appear and impact near people who have recently ended a romantic relationship.
SCP-4189 arrive anywhere from 10 minutes to up to three weeks since the date of the relationship ending, and are anomalously resistant to vaporizing during descent. The impact radius and size of SCP-4189 meteorites correlate positively with the time since the separation.
SCP-4189 creates hot and luminous craters in the impact zone. SCP-4189 targets who view the craters for extended periods of time become subject to severe emotional outbursts, and often lie in the craters.
Larger SCP-4189 instances, when broken open, often contain small objects like movie ticket stubs, necklaces, letters, flowers, or other small objects. SCP-4189 targets recognize these objects as corresponding to significant events during the ended relationship, except with some names, dates, and details changed.
