FROM THE DIRECTOR OF THE SCREENPLAY TITLED, "THE FOUNDATION"
THE FOLLOWING IS A SCRIPT.
THE DOCUMENT IS AN ONGOING SCENE.
THE READER IS A CHARACTER.
THE EYES ARE A BOUNDLESS CEILING.
Item-#: SCP-X
Object Class: Eranos1
Precautions & Effective Boundaries: Should the reader discover the Ceiling, they are to marvel at its contours or angrily rebuke it.
Should the Icarus-variant readers ascend into a space held above the Ceiling, they have perpetrated narrative inconsistencies to the baseline, and thus, if found guilty, hanged.
Should compartmentalization cabinets open and pataphysical rewrites intermix with temporal recursions or feelings of self-worth be confused with ascension, psychotronic pencil-pushers are to shuffle the papers around until a perceived order is made.
Should readers dream of the red chambers and surfaces that scratch the Ceiling, they are to be reminded by the script director that there is a Ceiling Above the Fourth Wall. They are to be reminded that the skyline is a series of lights and that the spheres in the sky are hung on strings.
In the eventuality that the Von Franz Observatory ascertains the location of a higher Ceiling, Criterion Assault Squads are to climb the lighthouse ladder and being construction of another lighthouse, stacked over the existing one. As such, they are to filter acausal radiation leakage. After ARL is drained, recapitulated, and documented, the archetypal pillar is to be installed as a new benchmark for success.
Base Premise: SCP-X exists as both an intangible skyline over the Earth and a method for encapsulating broad, metaphysical concepts. Accompanying manuscripts present SCP-X as the "Ceiling Above the Fourth Wall" on the header, and further design specifications indicate that SCP-X was established as a scope for metaphysical, omnipresent, eschatological, and otherworldly concepts and phenomena. It is unknown how the Foundation discovered the manuscripts. Shortly afterward, the Foundation established SCP-X as a format and filtration mechanism to parse a pattern of metacontextual themes that placated documents describing particular anomalies.
From the studies as broad as, but not limited to, synchronicity (and further explication theories) to the monomyth, humanity has intuited aspects of SCP-X's existence in some form or another.
