Chapter II.IX

[Faeowynn is going to talk to Esau about some ideas she has in regards to capturing the albatross. Esau is very engaged, though at some point asks when she became so engaged in this. Faeowynn mostly dodges the question, but says she feels like she should fill in for Robin's sudden absence. Esau appreciates it. Esau then asks where Faeowynn got these ideas. Faeowynn makes a convincing-enough argument about looking back through the files and getting a sense of what the Supervisors have suggested before. Esau raises an eyebrow to that, but goes along with it.]

[We find Faeowynn talking with Holly in the Library again. Holly is telling Faeowynn about Wondertainment. It's magic on a scale that she's never heard of before. She asks, rather innocently, how it all stays under cover. This brings up how they don't really want to be undercover. It's because of the Supervisors.]

[Anders knocks on Faeowynn's door. They do business, but then Anders stays in the room. "Mmm?" "Well, I was wondering if you were coming home or not. You haven't the last couple days." "Oh, well…" Yaddah yaddah, conversation. Anders asks Faeowynn not to run herself ragged like Tim did. She becomes very uncomfortable at the thought of Tim. She assures him that she's taking care of herself. Anders seems skeptical. She asks him to leave. He does.]

[She is with her guide again, going through the hallways of the Library. She was before wary of asking about the "people who suppress them". This time, she asks point blank. He tells her a story of the Jailors. She says she might know them, but as the Supervisors. It comes out that she works under them. He becomes very sour with her, even as she tries to explain the situation. He attempts to ban her from the Library, but Holly stands up for her. The situation of Wilson's Wildlife is explained, and Faeowynn leaves, not because she is required to, but because she wants out of that situation.]

[We are at a meeting. The albatross has been captured, but not moved to Site-64, and Edgar Holman is curious why. There is going to be a small argument, where Faeowynn exercises well-researched justifications from the Boring Agreement, as well as citing the Locked Box Test, for which this albatross would be Euclid. Eyebrows are raised at her even knowing that test. They eventually relent, and the Shelter is allowed to keep the albatross. Anders meets with Fae after the meeting and asks what the whole plan is. "To prove something," or something like that.]
