Overview
Infohazard Reliquary Site-█/█, commonly referred to as "Site TwoBox" or "Site Double Blackbox" by personnel, is a storage complex for the containment of high-risk memetics, infohazards, and other informational anomalies. All aspects of the facility are dedicated towards containment and research, along with the development of technologies that can aid in such efforts. The high concentration of these anomalies makes it among the highest security Foundation sites and a chief priority in ensuring continued containment.
Owing to this security, the site is isolated from the rest of the Foundation for safety purposes. Beyond knowledge of the site's function, further information, including that of contained anomalies, is withheld from the Foundation and all personnel who are not stationed at Site-█/█. Personnel at the site are not permitted to leave under any circumstance without a complete amnestic/coghaz mental scrubbing, and long-time staff are forbidden from resigning due to the high chance of infohazardous contamination. Communications3 are prohibited for the same reasons.
In turn this has created an unusual environment where esoteric technology unique to the facility and memetics are freely used, so long as overall containment is preserved. Researchers commonly speak in languages specialized for handling conceptual anomalies, interact with memetic entities, and are inoculated to numerous phenomenon. However, this has inadvertently led to wide-spread issues involving memory loss, amnestic/mnestic overdosing, and addictions to said compounds and other mental phenomena. Despite this and high rates of containment breaches the facility has remained one of the most secure Foundation sites. Only three breaches past site perimeters have occurred to date.
It is presumed that, as of 2022, Site-█/█ is several decades ahead of the Foundation proper in terms of memetics research. Continued advancements are expected.

Site History
Repeated cases of data loss and consumption prevent full knowledge on the site's origins, but it is known that, c. 1950, the Memetics Division constructed Site-█/█ with Dr. Conway Langford appointed as director. The facility was initially designated with characters from the Samothracean Greek alphabet and specialized numerical constructs, intended to be a new designation scheme for high-security sites. However, infohazardous weaponization of the alphabet by the Eastern Samothrace government and unrelated mathematical issues forced memeticists to construct conceptual shielding that applies to all uses of the Site's designation, visualized as a redaction. Out of worries that changing the designation could cause a collapse of the shielding, no alterations to it have been made since.
Due to the aforementioned data issues the remainder of Site-█/█'s history is equally unclear. Events recognized with complete certainty are that Director Langford resigned in 1980 and was superseded by Senior Researcher Zan Chen, who in 2009 requested the development of an AI system to manage the site. The requests were followed and Sosein.aic entered operations in 2010. During this time the site has continually expanded in size, capacity, and personnel count, the latter doubling in size when ambient infoentities were formally recognized as personnel.
Notable and well-recorded incidents have included the following:
- January of 1981: The spontaneous emergence of a new color (dubbed "stygian white") not corresponding to any EM radiation wavelengths that manifested alongside standard colors. The color pervaded the site but faded over several months, replaced by the concept of dullness until vanishing.
- May of 1990: The Berkanan InfoAnomaly Storage Server sent daily site-wide warning messages, purported to be from a Dr. Kalidas Mishra who had his mind unintentionally duplicated and contained alongside a digital infophile entity. An investigation was launched but halted when Dr. Mishra, who was involved in containing the infophile in question, deleted the anomaly's file. He was subsequently demoted.
- 14/06/2006: The entire town of Alert, Canada became an extension of Site-█/█, its populace believing themselves to be containment units and archival wings. [LEVEL 4/8709 CLEARANCE REQUIRED]. This is one of few incidents where an anomaly has breached the site's perimeters.
- 09/09/2018: One-fourth of site researchers became convinced they were members of an "Anti-Reality Division" and claimed they had to contain a fake threat. The researchers navigated to Basement Wing 10, locked themselves in it, and, based on security footage, performed no actions for 12 hours. Since then the personnel in question still claim to be of an Anti-Reality Division but have not acted abnormally.5

To our new recruits, if Site-█/█ strikes you as infohazardous madhouse then you are entirely correct. If you were looking for a standard work environment then this as far from it as you can get. You may apply to transfer out now, if you wish. Peorth-0's mental security agents aren't well ingrained in your mind yet, and by now you've received so little contamination that basic amnestics can scrub it.
For those who have their doubts, consider: this site is among the Foundation's most secure. The fact that you never heard of us until being offered a job position here is testament to it. Our environment is hectic, yes, but it is necessary. Without a dumping ground for memetics the Foundation and civilization as a whole would have collapsed twice over, and handling so much information is bound for chaos. Us head staff can barely keep a grip on all that happens in this site. The catch, though, is that we don't need to. All we need to do is direct the disorder inwards — not outwards. If it stays trapped here then we are doing our jobs right.
If you choose to stay, I welcome you. Nowhere else in the Foundation will you deal with the same anomalies as we do, and by the time you are a senior researcher you will view the world in a far different light than you did before. This is only partially metaphorical. Don't be surprised if you start seeing through a third (or fourth) eye.
And yes, you get used to the mental gymnastics involved in writing out "█/█." Everyone has.

Facility Regions

Containment Sectors:
- Sector 1: Stores physical anomalies with informational properties. Metaphysical constructs with similar natures are stored in this area as well, though only in cases where they are directly anchored to a corporeal or semi-corporeal form.
- Sector 2: Houses the Berkanan InfoAnomaly Storage Server, operated by Fragment 1 of Sosein.aic. Any informational anomaly that exists within a digital form or can be converted into one is stored in here, acting as both a containment system and a backup in the event physical versions of certain anomalies are lost.
- Sector 3: The wing for high security and highly hazardous informational anomalies of non-physical natures. The Sector is divided into three subsectors: Subsector 3A, Subsector 3B, and Subsector 3C, which serve as substitutes for each other in the event any of the subsectors fail.
- Sector 4: A wing intentionally purged of all but the bare minimum of information constructs necessary for human perception,6 kept sealed under all circumstances. In the event of a major containment breach, Sector 4's staff will initiate Procedure WHITE NOISE, purging the entirety of Site-█/█'s memetics7 then sending emergency signals to the Foundation. If alerting the Foundation will result in a further breach, onsite nuclear and info warheads will be detonated.
- Sector 5: [DISUSED — FURTHER DATA SEALED]
- Sector 6: A non-physical hypothetical wing for the containment of anomalous thought experiments and related concepts. All thoughts regarding such anomalies are to be confined to thinking of this sector. The sector also stores Site-█/█'s former recreational library, which was physically lost in a containment breach on a forgotten date.
Habitation/Misc.:
Interior of Wing C (deemed safe for viewing).
- EnPoint: The main entrance into Site-█/█, connected to the surface via four tunnel systems.
- Wing A: Holds the personnel quarters, recreational areas, dining regions, and other staff faculties. Screening for dangerous informational hazards is mandatory for all staff wishing to enter.
- Wing B: A specialized wing divided to sections for personnel who are memetically compromised to degrees to which interaction with normal staff would prove hazardous.
- Wing C: A wing used by personnel that are not permanently compromised but are involved in the research or containment of specific potent anomalies. Researchers may transfer back to Wing A on conclusion of their work.
- Aleph Databank: Houses the Site-█/█ Intranet servers, which handle internal communications and site database security. Overseen by Fragment 2 of Sosein.aic.
- Maintenance Wing M: The largest wing, storing electrical generators, waste disposal systems, environmental regulation systems, and all other systems necessary for maintaining the site's continued function. Overseen by Fragment 3 of Sosein.aic.
Archival Basement Wing 1. The sublevel was lost during an infovore breach in 1958 and was later rediscovered in 2009.
Sublevels:
Since the site's inception, basement sublevels have been created and added on as necessary for containment, archival, and utility purposes. While construction plans are intentionally well maintained, there have been a string of incidents where entire sublevels are forgotten due to antimemetic anomalies and similar phenomena.
Basement Wings 1, 10, and 118 were built in the 1960s but were only found again in the 1990s. Basement Wing 2 never had listed construction information and was dug into accidentally in preliminary work on creating a new archival region. In one case a now decommissioned sublevel was built through a preexisting but informationally shielded sublevel, only realized when a mnestics test was performed.
Opposite scenarios have occurred as well. Archival Basement Wing 6 was presumed to exist and was seemingly in use from 1993 to 1995, but amnestics tests found that the Wing was nonexistent; it was the result of a memetic hallucination that caused individuals to perceive a disused bathroom in Sector 3 as an archival region.
While these lost areas have been rediscovered, it is suspected that some have been rendered permanently inconceivable. One such case may be the so called "Site-B1," a hypothesized basement facility whose existence has been inferred from remaining documents on Site-█/█'s founding. This possibility is highly disputed, though, with existing basement sectors being more likely possibilities. Discoveries on the matter are considered unlikely. Until then the full extent of the basement wings and, as a whole, the full size of Site-█/█ cannot be determined.
