Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Thaumiel Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 is to maintain physical contact with SCP-XXXX-2 regardless of current status.

SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 are to be stored in separate containment units. No reunion is permitted.

SCP-XXXX-1 is to be contained in a standard humanoid containment cell set at a constant temperature of -13 degrees Celsius; the temperature should not rise over 10 degrees Celsius. The containment area should be illuminated by at least 3 hours of sunlight a day. SCP-XXXX-1 requires constant human contact within 7 meters of itself.

SCP-XXXX-2 is to be contained in a standard humanoid containment cell set at a constant temperature of 66 degrees Celsius. SCP-XXXX-2 is to be kept between 64 and 75 degrees Celsius.

Description: SCP-XXXX is the collective designation for a pair of humanoid entities that influence the temperature of the space around them, designated SCP-XXXX-11 and SCP-XXXX-22. Neither are capable of controlling, nor are they negatively affected by, the anomaly they possess.

SCP-XXXX-1 rapidly generates and releases heat from their body, causing the temperature within eight meters can exceed 100°C in approximately fifteen minutes. Adversely, SCP-XXXX-2 absorbs and dissipates heat, causing their immediate surroundings to become cold within seconds. Both of these anomalies are capable of being counteracted with extreme cold or heat,3 negating the spread of their effects.

When both entities are in physical contact, their anomalous properties appear to neutralize. In actuality, their effects change to alter the temperature to 23°C-25°C within a five meter radius. As such, SCP-XXXX has been utilized in multiple attempts of securing thermal anomalies.
