SCP-XXXX as of May 8th, 2027

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Provisional Site-132 is to be built in the area surrounding SCP-XXXX and a perimeter of about one kilometer is to be maintained. If civilians are caught attempting to enter SCP-XXXX they are to be directed out and given the cover story of a collapsed mine. All testing involving SCP-XXXX is to be approved by one Level 4 personnel and recovered by one Level 3 personnel.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an area of land located approximately 12km west of Janesville, Wisconsin. The corpses of animals laid to rest in this area will reemerge within an unknown bulb plant of appropriate size, fully renewed and alive.

SCP-XXXX was discovered on July 19th, 2012, by Janesville resident Michael Garris after they had buried their dog in the land. According to their statement, the dog returned to their home two years after the burial without hair and younger. Foundation field agents dispatched in the area conducted an investigation and found numerous bulb plants of different sizes, later revealed to be carrying small fauna such as field mice.

Experiment Log: Below is a record of tests conducted with SCP-XXXX.

Test #: 00 (Control)

Procedure: Buried one rat with an embedded tracking device.

Purpose: Confirm whether SCP-XXXX revives or clones specimens introduced to the area.

Result: Plant sprouted and released one rat. The tracking device was intact and in the same location as it was prior to planting. Emergence occurred one year and five months after burial.

Test #: 01

Procedure: Buried one milk snake, deceased.

Purpose: Determine whether SCP-XXXX is capable of reviving non-mammalian specimens.

Result: Plant sprouted and released one milk snake Scale condition similar to newly molted skin. Emergence occurred one year after burial.

Test #: 02

Procedure: Buried one rat, deceased, vertebral column broken in two places.

Purpose: Determine the range of regenerative capability.

Result: Plant sprouted and released one hairless rat. Showed no signs of impaired movement. Emergence occurred eight months after burial.

Test #: 03

Procedure: A portion of soil collected into a plastic planter pot. Buried one hamster inside, deceased. Soil maintained by botany specialists.

Purpose: Determine whether SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties maintain when removed from point of origin.

Result: No results after three years.

Test #: 04

Procedure: Buried one horse, deceased.

Purpose: Determine size range.

Result: Plants of appropriate size emerged from SCP-XXXX, carrying a horse. The horse is capable of movement and instinctual response.

Test #: 05

Procedure: Buried one rat, split in half. Halves buried separately.

Purpose: Determine whether SCP-XXXX is capable of reviving specimens with separated limbs.

Result: Both halves emerged in separate plants. Brief movement was observed from the upper half before expiry. No movement from the lower half.

Test #: 06

Procedure: Buried one rat, split in half. Halves rejoined via suture.

Purpose: Determine whether SCP-XXXX is capable of fully rejoining body parts.

Result: One rat emerged. Scar is visible around the mid-section. It is otherwise healthy.

Test #: 06

Procedure: Buried one cat skeleton.

Purpose: Determine the range of regenerative capability.

Result: Cat skeleton emerged from SCP-XXXX in a pile. Microfissures mended.
