Due to the large SCP-XX-Ψ population, on-site confinement was deemed an excessive financial liability and subsequently abandoned in lieu of exile to the extrageographic city-state of Three Portlands under the conditions of the Brownstein Agreement. Containment personnel are responsible for the enforcement of the following terms:

• Per Article V, an RF tether must be implanted in every SCP-XX-Ψ before departure from Foundation custody.

Description SCP-XX is the social concept of "skrungus",¹ a subjective categorization for male physiques which radically deviate from natural human anatomy. The term is used interchangeably as a descriptor, identity, and sexual ideal. SCP-XX manifests mainly (but not exclusively) in the LGBTQ+ community, particularly among gay men.

Men² who gain knowledge of SCP-XX have a small chance of adopting it as a self-identity, even if they do not yet possess any unusual physical characteristics. If the affected person reaches a state of fully-internalized SCP-XX, their physiology will undergo spontaneous transmogrification into a nonhuman organism of unique anatomical configuration (SCP-XX-Ψ).

SCP-XX-Ψ possess the same memories and level of intelligence as they did before conversion and unanimously report the process to be voluntary and satisfactory. Nonhuman and post-human entities who are not SCP-XX-Ψ do not self-identity with SCP-XX and are generally not labelled as such by the LGBTQ+ community. Mistakenly calling a non-SCP-XX-Ψ nonhuman entity a "skrungus" is generally considered an inoffensive gaffe; however, using comparative descriptors (i.e. "skrungus-like", "skrungish") for non-SCP-XX-Ψ nonhuman entities is socially acceptable and sometimes complimentary.

Common Subtypes

Due to SCP-XX's nature as a social identity, consistent patterns in physiological traits may be observed when other identities are also present. The following table lists examples of specific SCP-XX-Ψ variations observed in the field and the English vernacular terms associated with them.

Designation	Description
Ψ001 ("Skrink")	Overlap of "skrungus" and "twink" identities.3 SCP-XX-Ψ001 are easily identified by their effete, dramatically elongated forms. Limbs are pliant and often lack skeletal tissue, leading to frequent entanglement during sexual activity. In some cases, this may be considered a desirable outcome and the parties involved may choose to remain intertwined as a romantic gesture. Polyamorous groups of four or more joined SCP-XX-Ψ001 are sometimes referred to as "rat queens".4 Largest recorded polycule involved twenty-seven joined members, known locally as the "Biggest Ball of Twink in Minnesota".5
Ψ002 ("Bearngus")	Overlap of "skrungus" with "bear".6 Physiology is typically amorphous and occasionally gelatinous. Penetration7 into a gelatinous body is not harmful to either party. Consumption of loose SCP-XX-Ψ002 matter has not been tested in a clinical environment and is inadvisable.8 Instances appear capable of voluntarily altering their density in a limited capacity. The average SCP-XX-Ψ002 may compress to roughly the volume of an oil barrel and expand to the volume of two Olympic-sized swimming pools. SCP-XX-Ψ002 neither possess nor require the biological mechanisms for respiration, digestion, or circulation, and have been known to settle indefinitely at the bottoms of lakes and oceans to evade containment.9
Ψ003 ("Skrotter")	Overlap of "skrungus" with "otter".10 A furred invertebrate. Flesh is generally withered and vestigial, with the exception of twenty-four muscular pedipalps formed from the converted subject's rib cage. SCP-XX-Ψ003 bodies are almost entirely covered in dense hair that grows up to 3 meters in length. Hair filaments are substantially thicker and more durable than what can be observed in nature. Each filament contains hydrostatic micro-musculature with erogenous nerves running through the augmented medullae. With practice and exercise, these keratinous appendages have proven to be capable of developing fine motor skills. An increasingly popular form of performing art involves SCP-XX-Ψ003 forming their hair into still or animated tableaux, such as a three-dimensional representation of Eugène Delacroix's Liberty Leading the People or a simulated performance by entertainer Trixie Mattel.
Ψ031 ("Bottomless Bottom")	Overlap of "skrungus" with "power bottom".11 Instances of SCP-XX-Ψ031 bear a cavernous orifice leading to an extradimensional space of apparently unlimited depth. Any material which passes through the sphincter will be pulled in and cannot be extricated without moderate effort. This process is intensely pleasurable to SCP-XX-Ψ031 and any living beings which enter it. The environment inside of SCP-XX-Ψ031 has been found to be oxygen-rich and capable of supporting life indefinitely through the use of nutrient-rich secretions. Several cases have been documented in which the sexual partner of an SCP-XX-Ψ031 instance deliberately forewent resistance and allowed themselves to be enveloped beyond the possibility of retrieval.
Ψ056 ("Circruit Circle"/"Tumbletop")	Overlap of "skrungus" with "circuit queen" and "top only".12 Headless organism comprised of fourteen male pelvises conjoined in a loop, with the lower end of each segment taking the place of the thorax above the next. The vertebral column extends through each pelvic region without terminating in a coccyx. The outward-facing side of the ring bears the frontal pelvic features such as genitalia. No anuses are present on the inner rim. This subtype is frequently observed in coitus with SCP-XX-Ψ057 ("Bussy Bus"/"Daddy Wagon"), a highly similar variety which instead bears posterior pelvic orifices along the outer edge. The compatible anatomy of the two creatures allows for a form of intercourse resembling the rotation of interlocking gears. Despite common rumors of elaborate Ψ056-Ψ057 orgies being harnessed to regularly generate green enegy, only one such event is known to have taken place.13 Nevertheless, the sexual-mechanical nature of this topic remained the focus of significant controversy and discourse among Mekhanite and Sarcic communities throughout much of the late 2010s.
