SCP-XXXX sites already hosting shrines, temples, or other institutions of spiritual inclination are to be acquired and maintained as usual. Legitimate veneration or other acts of consequence are to be avoided until the identity of SCP-XXXX is confirmed.
Description: Discovered during the second wave of global extrasensory observation programmes. Global range of distribution, minor clustering near urban areas. SCP-XXXX is a collective designation for 748 distinct locations of interest. Each site presents a strong spectral imprint trending towards mortuary signatures.
The physical appearance of each site differs depending on its location, but its eidolicenter is invariably buried or otherwise interred within a mound of earth. The former is common amongst urban instances, and are typically covered by concrete, asphalt, flooring, or other infrastructure.
Either by the absence of human presence or stronger primeval spectral signatures, rural instances attain the appearance of larger mounds typically associated with burial sites, frequently being mistaken for tumuli, kurgans, or kofun, depending on the location of discovery.
The first difference between SCP-XXXX and a regular grave is the magnitude of the spectral imprint, which is in greater excess of an individual cadaver, or even that which may be recorded from a mass grave of baseline humans.
The second difference is that all SCP-XXXX instances are completely empty. Foundation extrasensory analysts have not been able to determine when this is expected to change.
