SCP-XXXX feeding on a bird carcass (not visible). Photograph taken prior to containment

Containment Zone XXXX-1, prior to SCP-XXXX's placement within.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently anchored by steel cable and sunken concrete blocks in a large earthen hollow in the New Forest, Hampshire, England. The area (designated Containment Zone XXXX-1) is surrounded by chain-link fence and signposted as a protected conservation zone for wild gladiolus flowers (Gladiolus illyricus). Due to its relative proximity, Site-90 has been granted jurisdiction over the anomaly, and Mobile Task Force Upsilon-7 ("The Glass Jar") are responsible for maintaining the entity's containment guise.
SCP-XXXX is to be provided with 750 kilograms of animal tissue every two months. In the event that containment is breached, Provisional Task Force Elvet-0 ("Faerie Folk")1 will be assembled and tasked with its recontainment.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an entity composed from 22 living trees of various species, arranged in a slanting pattern around a central mass, which extends upwards in several smaller trunks and branches. SCP-XXXX is ambulatory and carnivorous, feeding primarily on large mammals and occasionally the carcasses of smaller creatures — the method of feeding appears to be rapid absorption of proteins through a central trunk, which is extended directly downwards during feeding. The remaining 21 trees, usually serving the function of legs, will take root and (if necessary) protect the food source through the bludgeoning and strangulation of potential competitors or aggressors.
SCP-XXXX is violently hostile towards all adult humans. To date, it has never been observed attempting to intentionally harm a person below the age of 18.
