Item №: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures:

Description: SCP-XXXX refers to the TEKYON 140 "Happy Medium" Autopsychic Predictor, produced and sold by a split-timeline iteration of the Remington Rand corporation (c. 1960). When powered and supplied with small tissue sample from a living subject, SCP-XXXX are capable of providing data on the short- and long-term fate of the specific organ from which the sample was taken. This data has been found accurate in 100% of cases, but is often presented obliquely, obscuring certain contextual details1. Excepting large masses of impenetrable brain tissue in the approximate centres of the devices, SCP-XXXX are physically non-anomalous, and require an electricity supply similar to that of non-anomalous computers from the same era.

There are currently 76 instances of SCP-XXXX known to the Foundation, of which 56 are fully-functional. No TEKYON devices, SCP-XXXX or otherwise, are known to exist outside of Foundation containment. All instances were acquired during the Foundation-monitored merging of branch timeline T:8-8a-9-0: on 1977-05-04; the split had previously encompassed the entirety of the United States of America, and required in excess of 2,000 Forth-Xyank Concatenators to resolve. SCP-XXXX instances are the only known anomalous artifacts from this event — for full documentation of the concatenation, contact a Department of Temporal Anomalies liaison.
