Special Containment Procedures: The entrance to SCP-001 has been sealed off with cement, and all effects of SCP-001-1 have been found have ceased. Following the disbandment of GoI-466 (Wilson's Wildlife Solutions), the Wilson's Wildlife Center has been cleared of anomalous entities and repurposed as Provisional Site-001. The sole purpose of Site-001 is the monitoring of SCP-001 and the prevention of the creation of another Boring Nexus.

Description: SCP-001 is the designation for an underground cavernous space located 8,661 feet below Clackamas County, Oregon. The sole entrance to SCP-001 is a flooded sinkhole located outside the town of Boring.

SCP-001-1 is an entity residing within SCP-001, and the point of origin for the Boring Nexus. Through an incredibly strong anomalous effect, SCP-001-1 draws anomalous fauna to itself from across the planet.

SCP-001 was first discovered by Tim Wilson in 1995 prior to the founding of GoI-466. The first explorations of SCP-001 did not occur until 2005, with the first entrance into the main cavern occurring in 2011 utilizing equipment provided by the Foundation. GoI-466 failed to reveal the existence of the anomaly to the Foundation, violating the Boring Agreement. The existence of SCP-001 went unknown to the Foundation until 20XX, when an undercover agent within GoI-464 gained the trust of Tim Wilson, and was sent on an exploratory mission within the cavern, in which the existence of SCP-001-1 was first discovered.
