ITERATION B
1970s Foundation
Item #: SCP-9000
Object Class: Uncontained
Special Containment Procedures: All attempts must be made to suppress the frequencies of SCP-9000-2, with misinformation circulated to counter its messaging. When found other instances of SCP-9000-2 are to be contained at Site-555. Research proposals must be approved by Head Researcher Roisín Kelly. No Foundation personnel under Cognitive resistance 55 are to wear SCP-9000-1.
Description: SCP-9000-1 is a fifth dimensional diadem made of orichalcum, and SCP-9000-2 are five radio frequencies originating from the galactic center of the Milky Way Galaxy. SCP-9000 is a fifth dimensional entity communicating through -1 and -2. When adorned by subjects fulfilling the criteria in Document.9000.1 they are susceptible to the anomalous effects of SCP-9000. Subjects become aware of an extradimensional entity and become hyperfixated on the subjects of quantum paraphysics and astronomy. Anomalous effects include the wearer being unable to comprehend any terrestrial language, and the ability to amplify and project SCP-9000-2. Subjects unaccustomed to the phenomena known as Fifthism suffer from migraines, night terrors, and temporary blindness.
Document.9000.1:
Discovery: SCP-9000 first came to the attention of the Foundation in 1965 after the Miskotonic University Museum of Fine Arts acquired a diadem from the estate of [NAME REDACTED]. During initial study, archivists and antiquarians were subjected to migraines and suffered from temporary blindness due to the nature of the diadem. As SCP-9000-1 exists in five dimensions, Foundation paramathematicians, and optical researchers, found the gemstones inset in the artifact cut in the shape of a penteract1 and emit a color similar to Chekov's Radiation2. The artifact is worn by higher clergy of the Inner Sanctum of the Fifth Congressional Church and not used explicitly in the rituals themself but rather to intensify the messaging from SCP-9000-2.
