Under the auspices of this this policy, I am suggesting the unarchival and deletion of the tale Shoulda' Stayed in Dubai. This tale is currently at -78 and is not referenced in any other articles. It was originally intended to be followed by later contributions from fishmonger before he left the site.
The page was archived in 2012 with a staff vote from thedeadlymoose, TheDuckMan, Eskobar and CommunismWillWin. Notably, two of these users have been permanently banned from the site without any chance of returning. Both moose and CWW have disavowed their votes/stances to -ARC the page. The public reason given at the time was no more than moose saying they liked it, and then three other staff members signing off on it — moose attributed this to TheDuckMan disliking any public reason for archival other than liking the piece to be archived personally. Archival is rarely used today, and this would not be seen as justification now. As early as 2013, other staff members have been questioning the archival of the page and it continuing to exist on the wiki. At present, it is the fourth most downvoted page on the wiki.1
I spoke to moose about this page to get more context on why it was archived, and was informed that this page was largely archived as a relic example of site proto-canons — the large-scale intertwined collaborative story-telling that existed on the site, was damaged by fishmonger, and has since been revived successfully. The 2013 Canon Contest went up just a month after this tale was archived, and the idea of site canons was not very popular at the time. Since this is no longer a lost part of the site or it's writing community (and was only lost for two years), keeping the page -ARC'd no longer makes sense.
Given that this page is not needed for any context, is broadly unpopular among the userbase, and is no longer representative of the reason for its archival, I suggest it be unarchived and deleted.
