Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: Six secure containment lockers in expanded Area-13 containing the components of SCP-XXXX are to be locked at all times. Level 1 personnel may request, in advance, requisition of SCP-XXXX for experimental purposes with approval from the Department of Folklore and Mythology. Allowing four of the six components of SCP-XXXX to directly contact one another should only occur under controlled conditions.
Updated Proecedures ██/██/████: SCP-XXXX is stored in an isolated secure containment locker kept within a locked room monitored by CCTV camera feed. This room may only be accessed by Level 2 personnel and above with prior approval from the Department of Folklore and Mythology for experimental purposes. Researchers and security personnel identifying with masculine aligned gender identities not currently in a committed romantic relationship are restricted from handling SCP-XXXX directly. Allowing four of the six components of SCP-XXXX to directly contact one another should only occur under controlled conditions.
Updated Procedures ██/██/████: SCP-XXXX is stored in an isolated secure containment locker kept within a hermetically sealed chamber monitored by CCTV camera feed and accessible only by rotating cryptographic passkey admission. This room may only be accessed by Level 3 personnel and above with approval from the Department of Folklore and Mythology for experimental purposes under strict supervision of an attending expert. Researchers and security personnel identifying with any gender identity not currently in a committed romantic relationship are strictly forbidden from handling or being within a 20 m radius of SCP-XXXX when four of the six components are being worn or directly handled.
Updated Procedures ██/██/████: SCP-XXXX is stored in an isolated secure containment locker kept within five, layered, hermetically sealed chambers with multiple access checkpoints consisting of thumbprint, retinal scan, voice recognition, and cryptographic passcode input. SCP-XXXX is only accessible by prior Area director and Department of Folklore and Mythology approval for strict experimental purposes that must be conducted within the storage and holding chamber. Screening is at strict discretion of responsible parties.
Updated Procedures ██/██/████: SCP-XXXX is stored in the manner described in the prior update of procedures, but all access and experimentation has been strictly forbidden with the sole exception of yearly audits.
Current procedures ██/██/████: SCP-XXXX has been given to Special Agent Carissa Decimus as both a member of the Department of Folklore and the "Index Finger" of O5-01-03 & -04's protection and personal detail as an active member of MTF α-1 ("Red Right Hand") for maintenance and containment. All future inquiries should be made to O5-01's office.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a composite set of clothing fashioned from leather, twine, and wood into six individual items. All items, with the exception of the boots, have been dyed in shades of green, silver, white, and crimson. Thorough chemical and genetic analysis indicates that all leather components of SCP-XXXX originated from the same animal, a Sus scrofa individual that is estimated to have been 8-10.8 meters at the shoulder, weighing anywhere from 3000-3500 kg. Each individual item, SCP-XXXX-01 through -06, convey a unique effect when worn alone, as described below:
- SCP-XXXX-01: A rudimentary top with crude buttons and button holes. Wearers gain unusual upper body strength, intimate knowledge of archery, and sex/gender identity dependent additional effects (See Experiment Logs E-XXXX-01-05).
- SCP-XXXX-02: A thicker jacket/coat with a layer of fur glued over the leather. Wearers report extreme resistance to cold environments and moderate modulations in personality/attitude towards 'detached and cold.'
- SCP-XXXX-03: A Belt with elaborate and symbolic stitching ending in a buckle and clasp made of finely carved wood depicting images of a crescent moon hovering over a standoff between a human woman and a boar. Wearers report an increased desire to engage in activities that bring them closer to nature; including hunting, hiking, foraging, tree climbing, and camping.1
- SCP-XXXX-04 & 5: A pair of pants and a skirt, respectively. Both items have a hole in the back at approximately tailbone height. Items are reported to increase vertical jump height, competency in climbing tall objects, increased sense of balance, and additional sex/gender identity dependent effects (See Experiment Logs E-XXXX-01-05).
- SCP-XXXX-06: Knee high boots. Wearers report increased running speed and confidence in their ability to track animals and humans in the wilderness.
Individually, each worn item only confers temporary anomalous effects to the wearers physical and mental capacities as well as personality presentation. These effects fade within approximately one to four hours. When at least four of the six items are either physically touching or worn together, SCP-XXXX creates a Circle-class hermeneutic whose set events are described in Incident Logs I-XXXX-01 through -05. When five of the six items are worn at the same time, individuals, regardless of gender identity, are altered to fit the physical and mental description of the focal character of the Circle Hermeneutic. These alterations are permanent.
Discovery: SCP-XXXX was recovered from the village of Kalentzi, where the items had been uncovered by farmers at an indeterminate timepoint in the 18th century. Believing the set to be the skin of the mythical Erymanthian boar captured alive by Heracles and later slain in front of the Mycenaean assembly, the villagers divided and rotated the clothing set among themselves hoping for good fortune or favor from wearing them. Eventually they sealed SCP-XXXX in glass display cases in an unoccupied building in the center of the village. In 1905, post-ottoman instability led to the stealing of the set by local bandits, who inadvertently activated the Hermeneutic. This resulted in the deaths of ten bandits, three villagers, the permanent physical alteration of a hostage forced to wear five of the six items, and alerted the Foundation to SCP-XXXX.
