Special Containment Procedures
SCP-XXXX is stored within Biological Storage Locker 17 at Site-51. Medical observations are managed by jeongbot.aic and any change in status will be immediately reported to the appropriate HCML Supervisor. Testing of SCP-XXXX is approved for personnel Clearance Level 2 and above.
An ongoing investigation is currently underway to identify, locate, and contain SCP-XXXX-1.
Description
SCP-XXXX is a hollow iron cube measuring 1.5 m3, the exterior of which is lined with hand-sewn patches of living human skin. The surface of SCP-XXXX has several openings of varying size and depth. The largest of these orifices holds a locking mechanism similar to those found in early eighteenth-century bear traps. On the left face of SCP-XXXX is a brand reading "Mother Leeds' Oddities | 1732", which was applied shortly after SCP-XXXX was forged.
Testing of each skin patch led to the discovery of 23 separate DNA samples, though no evidence has been found explaining the skins ability to remain alive despite lacking the necessary supporting biological systems. Samples taken from the internal cavity of SCP-XXXX revealed several dozen human DNA samples, as well as an unknown biological compound, which is assumed to originate from SCP-XXXX-0.
SCP-XXXX-0 is a unidentified entity theorized to exist due to the presence of biological evidence and the circumstances surrounding the discovery of SCP-XXXX.
Discovery
The Foundation was alerted to the existence of SCP-XXXX by assets within the NJ State Police several hours after its discovery by the Lacy Township Police Department. SCP-XXXX was located within the home of Mark, Karen, and Timothy Johnston1 though due to the nature of its discovery no further information could be ascertained about its origin. The following is a transcript of the phone call that led to the discovery of SCP-XXXX.

[END LOG]
Upon arriving at the home, Lacy Township police officers discovered the flayed, partially eviscerated remains of Mark, Karen, and Timothy Johnston. The remains of David and Mitchell Callaghan were similarly found, the latter was discovered in the basement, several meters from SCP-XXXX. Due to circumstantial evidence and the extensive criminal history2 of the Callaghan brothers, it is theorized that their presence in the home was in a criminal capacity, during which Mitchell Johnston inadvertently released SCP-XXXX-0 from SCP-XXXX. An extensive search for SCP-XXXX-0 was performed but no evidence of its location was recovered.
