Bunny druid. Nature hates them because they have powers they "shouldn't" have. Antlers. They are motivated by FAMILY - their adoptive father disappeared, leaving them the note and the scarf. They seek to mend their relationship with nature and find where their father disappeared off to.
"Life has been hard for you. You've been no stranger to this fact - a curse placed on you through methods unknown, but still, you've managed to make a good life out of everything, despite the scarabs. Hard work and kinship has brought you much and helped you to come around to make the most out of your situation.
None of it would have been possible without the help of Kerrie. The last of her line, an older lady, a kind and gentle soul, she took you in when no one would, and taught you all you came to know. Your friendships, your work, the smile that you thought had left your world forever.
But when she disappeared, that smile was lost once again. Leaving no one else but you in her wake, you were helpless to see as life simply…..kept on going. Though a tragedy, the world seemed to move on so swiftly…
But not you.
She left a scarf behind to you before her disappearance and you knew something was odd - so you followed. Where no one else cared, where no one else sought to look, you dived in - every clue bringing you closer a town named Daggerford.
What sort of hurdles do you think Azure has faced?
The scarf is carried away by a warm, playful breeze, its patterns shifting and turning in the air, before eventually landing on the house's threshold.
Red Panda warlock. No motivation item. Is from a line of vampire hunters. Sent by their patron, who hates Strahd, to mess with Him and his plans - its Seras. They're working for their patron in the hopes their patron will make them into a vampire.
You have been summoned to meet your patron for an important mission. Always one to request your presence in odd places, you find yourself huffing, puffing, wheezing after a miles long walk through mountain and forest. Finally, you're where you need to be: An quiet beach cove.
The weather is somber, quiet. Though the sun peaks out intermittently, the clouds still block most of the sun's light. Your patron is there, near the waves, in her usual garb: pitch black clothes, leather boots, and a parasol always block her face.
Though you have become accustomed to her meeting you in these places, it still always comes as a surprise to meet her in these places. You know her to be a true vampire, old and powerful - and you know that all that was standing between her and true death were the clothes on her person.
Do this for me, my darling, and I shall grant you what you have sought.
A jester.
A Great Fool Warlock. More aware of some of the metaphysics of everything.
Would you like to know a secret?
Something to keep
Between
Us.
Me and Astrella.
Would you like to know two?
The name of your patron is "The Heirophant."
The second one is special.
The second one is something to be kept between us.
The second one is a story.
The second one is a stage.
The second one is a place far, far away, kept under lock and key - somewhere distant, somewhere secret,
Somewhere realer than where you came from.
Somewhere more real than where you are going.
The second secret is a goal.
It is a place, to reach.
It is where the Secret Will Fall.
Frog Ranger. An assassin. Has the REDEMPTION motivation. A mercenary hired by the party, definitely the hardest one at the moment.
Steampunk Raccoon Artificer named Pipi. From the steampunk world of whimsy. Their motivation is HEALING. They have some sort of plague or disease they wish to heal.
You live in the steampunk world of whimsy and wonder and beauty. Its a magical world, full of steam, clocks, gears, hats with birds that come out of the top when it reaches 12 pm. For you, however, that reality is much different.
[Scene change]
For you, you have lived in a world choked in smog and filth. The sun is rarely seen from behind the gray, overcast pollution that clings to the sky. Though you have dreamed of flying the skys, you have remained here, finding what scraps you can to eek out a meager existence for yourself. Though it has been hard, you have managed to acquire quite a talent for metal working, the adjusting of clockwork and gear, the fashioning of machine.
Though you have dreamed big dreams, each step of the way something has held you back. Sickness took your parents from you, forcing you to manage their affairs instead of taking opportunity above. That same sickness now threatens you. You have managed to circumvent the worst of it through your inventions, but that has only preserved your abilities - it has done nothing to delay the inevitable death that this sickness will surely bring.
However, no matter how bad things have been for you, no matter how strongly the clouds have sought to choke out every beam of sunlight, there has always been a glimmer of hope. For you, that has been the opportunity for a healer to work their magic on you - the same healer you now head towards.
Walking down through the tunnels, deeper in this city than you have ever been, you come across a crossroads, with a figure between it. They take a good look at you and then clear their throat.
"Come to see the healer, have we?"
"Both these paths will take you where you need to go, but I would advise going right - an easier walk down that way. And uh, take this."
They give you a wolf's tooth wrapped in a pendant.
"This'll bring you where you need to go. Healer won't fix ya up less you got this. G'luck traveler."
What does Pipi think? What path do they take?
A Raccoon showed them the way. Two paths, one left and one right. The Raccoon pointed them towards the right.
Pipi chose left.
