MTF Nu-7 "Hammer Down" operatives prior to SCP-XXXX manifestation.
Special Containment Procedures: Due to the lack of concrete information available on SCP-XXXX, no direct containment procedures exist. Foundation Mobile Task Force operatives are to be trained to attempt to capture or interrogate SCP-XXXX should it manifest while on a mission.
Description: Though exact details on SCP-XXXX remain vague, the following information is believed to be true of the anomaly:
- SCP-XXXX manifests exclusively during Foundation MTF operations,
- SCP-XXXX does not affect other Veil-maintaining organizations or non-anomalous militaries/law enforcement agencies,
- SCP-XXXX exclusively manifests when a Foundation MTF operative is killed in active duty.
SCP-XXXX originally manifested on May 23rd, 2025 during a deployment of MTF Tau-7 "Hammer Down". Tau-7 were combating a local Chaos Insurgency cell in Xishuangbanna, China when the anomaly was discovered. Attached is a radio communications log of the initial manifestation event.
Addendum XXXX.1: Initial Manifestation

[Tau-7 has been engaged with the Insurgents for approximately two minutes in an area covering 1 km. The Insurgency has been slowly losing ground at a rate of 50 m p/30s and Tau-7 have sustained no casualties, but have suffered a few injuries.]
Major Arden: Situation report.
Sargent Edison: We're advancing on their base now. We should take it within the hour.
Arden: Good. Over and out.
[The two groups exchange gunfire as the Insurgents continue to retreat through the jungles. Suddenly, an explosion to the north of the formation rocks the battlefield.]
Arden: What was that?
Edison: The Insurgents are deploying landmines. I think someone was unlucky enough to step on one.
SCP-XXXX: Keep communications, clear, maggot.
Arden: Excuse me? Who the hell is this? I demand your name and rank!
SCP-XXXX: This is Agent SMURF from the A Team. Seeing as you just lost a man, I'm here as backup.
Edison: Sir?
Arden: Do you think this is a god damn joke? I'll have you marshalled and blacklisted from all militia worldwide, you fucking cretin!
SCP-XXXX: Keep comms clear, or that's gonna be a demerit on your record.

- addendum: first manifestation, mole rats probably? He appears when one of the men dies horribly and starts talking over Foundation coms about how theyre going to demote them all for fucking up so badly. Command is mostly confused as to who this random person is on a Foundation frequency claiming to be backup from the Foundation is.
- Addendum 2: next manifestation. This time it happens in a close space, and they see him physically. He's a short dude in mtf gear and he keeps insisting he's there as backup from overwatch. The entire team is wiped except for him but he disappears once the comes go silent.
- Addendum 3: he appears again. By this point the mtfs globally are aware of smurf and they try getting him to disclose his position but he insists he is providing sniper cover and uses other tacticool terms. All his shots go wide and the mtf is wiped.
- Addendum 4: at this point he becomes associated with doomed missions and mtfs globally are unhappy. Morale is low etc.
- Addendum 5: he manifests again, this time in an enclosed space again. As a reflex, the mtf shoot him on sight. He screams and bleeds out screaming for a medic.
- Addendum 6: updated file, smurf keeps manifesting as a corpse when missions start going sideways
