SCP-XXXX.

Special Containment Procedures: Instances of SCP-XXXX are to be stored in a series of blast-proof lockers in a dedicated room within the High-Value Storage Wing of Site-56. Kinetic and memetic positive action defensive measures are to be enforced against unauthorized entities attempting to enter or exit SCP-XXXX's containment chamber. Once per month, the SCP-XXXX Project Director is to inspect the chamber for undocumented anomalous behavior.

Instances of SCP-XXXX are not to be disassembled, activated, destroyed, or otherwise exposed to damaging materials and environments. SCP-XXXX's schematics are to be stored in a network-inaccessible medium for archival purposes, and may only be accessed with authorization from Site-56 Command.

No experimentation will be conducted on SCP-XXXX.

Beryllium-bronze wiring seized from an unfinished instance of SCP-XXXX.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an electronic device developed by GoI-2600 ("█████ Arcadia"), ostensibly as a home entertainment computer. Prior to Incident G952-Z, the manufacture of SCP-XXXX was outsourced to GoI-952 ("Olney Ironworks").

According to its associated documentation, SCP-XXXX's internal mechanisms differ significantly from that of non-anomalous home computers, such as the incorporation of esoteric integrated circuitry connected by beryllium-bronze cabling. The purpose of several components is unclear.

SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties are unknown. However, the nature of its recovery suggests that its production, mishandling, and/or activation triggers the occurrence of an excessively deleterious anomaly.

As of 30/04/1998, the SCP-XXXX project has gone eight years without a containment breach. It is thus presumed that whatever the nature of the SCP-XXXX anomaly, SCP-XXXX's containment procedures act as an effective countermeasure.

RECOVERY

SCP-XXXX was discovered on 11/04/1990, following the decommissioning of the Olney Electronics Production Facility in Stockholm, New Mexico and the subsequent acquisition of the property by S.C. Public.

According to Olney administration, Olney was contracted by PoI-2600 ("Nolan Bushnell") to produce 100 units of SCP-XXXX in preparation for an upcoming convention of tech hobbyists. They were reportedly unaware of PoI-2600's ties to GoI-2600.

As part of the deal, design documentation was withheld until Olney procured the necessary amount of all but three of the material components required for SCP-XXXX's manufacture. The remaining three components ("Gehennian capacitors", golden teeth, and blood sausage1) were provided alongside documentation.

Manufacture began on 10/04/1990.

One day later, Olney ceased manufacture of SCP-XXXX.

Investigation of the Olney Electronics Production Facility post-acquisition revealed extensive fire damage, as well as the mutilated corpses of various Olney employees who had been scheduled to work in the facility that day. Of the 100 units requested, only 8 instances of SCP-XXXX had survived the apparent incident, with the remaining instances missing, presumed destroyed, or never manufactured.

Of note: following the events of 11/04/1990, Bushnell's share in Olney stock increased from 0.1% to 4.1%.

Inspired by the classic SCP-139's ambiguous anomalous situation.
